I would also check Numrich.

If my memory serves me correctly the Maddi AKM’s aren’t typically high on the desirability scale. I believe most came into the US as Avery worn parts kits at a time when home builds and poorly done commercial builds were very common.
Did you happen to notice any import marks?

Some MAADI rifles came in as new rifles, with thumbhole stocks before the 94 ban.

Headspace will/may be an issue if you replace the bolt, barrel, or front trunion. AKs are not drop in parts on major headspace parts like an AR.
My advice here. Inspect the FT, receiver, barrel, and bolt for wear. If they all look serviceable or repairable, move on to other parts. I'd replace the springs and extractor spring first and see if that clears most of it up.
MAADIs came over and were built up without clearing up the issues they had when they were imported as kits. They're not beginner AK builds due to it.

It doesn't look bad. He also isn't showing us the wearing surface of the bolt, he's showing us the face. The rear of the lugs controls the lockup. The carrier looks a little dinged, but not bad at all, some light filing will clean it up. I'd be more concerned with how it got dinged up.

When clearance is measured in thousandths of an inch, a 100th is a mile off. Just my .02cents worth.

On what part? The carrier doesn't set headspace.
