Don't you have school or something about the time that starts. Maybe there will be a mysterious brush fire right about then.  :lol:

Damn it, I had my AR dialed in and then had to move the quick detach scope mounts so now it's probably back to square one.  AAARRRGGGHHHH!

Well, I can still do the long range comp with my 308, and I guess I can do the combat marksman with the Saiga again.

BTW Ranger, I've been meaning to ask, when did we start doing skeet shooting?  When would it be done, on Friday or on Saturday during range time?   Would any shotgun configuration be allowed with this?  Would we need to shoot buckshot or birdshot for this?  How much does a box of clays usually go for?

  We will be doing skeet on Thursday or Friday afternoon; the skeet range is occupied the rest of the time; it's sporting clay loads (bird shot, low brass) ....I have no idea what a box of clays cost, as I do not shoot trap or skeet; this is something that people have been asking for, so here it is....

Cesar, bring the Saiga.
The primary objective is to get as many shots off as possible before the bird hits the ground.

 OK folks, you should be making your final preps and getting ready to head out in a day or so;

  Check that list, and remember to bring s good blanket and a sweatshirt or something for at night, the nights have been cool lately....

  Remember, we have a LOT of range time- Thursday afternoon at the long range, the Friday comps , Friday afternoon at the 50 yard pistol/230 yard rifle range, the full day Saturday, so remember enough ammo, your targets, and whatever stands you are using......

  I am getting ready to head out there to start setting up the camp, run the power to the camp sites, etc, with rws31 joining me this afternoon, so that when you guys get here, the coffee will be hot, the flags will be flying,  the evening and dawn skeeters will be sprayed (as you know, we still get them, but it helps) the power will be on, and the camp kitchen will be ready for the chef to do his magic....

   See you all soon! 8)

   Got the campsites powered up, the kitchen mostly built, the fire circle assembled, the grill positioned, and a hundred other little things done....We need to tweak a coupld of things yet, but mostly what we need is you to be here, so come on, load up, gas up, gather your personal belongings and take small children by the hand, and get on board;

Well I will miss this one after all.

My daughter needs help with house fix-ups to get ready for sale.  The "handyman" she hired flaked out.  She got a promotion and has to move, so everything is rush-rush.

I will miss seeing you guys  :cry:    Have some shots for me  :)

Hopefully I can make October.

 Reporting in from the range! The weather is absolutely perfect,  cool and dry, with the weather report calling for ZERO chance of rain and cool temps the whole rest of the week... some of the early crew haz already been hitting the range, and tonight we head into town for a nice dinner.....for my part, my work is done for the day, i am sitting in the shade of a 300 year old live oak,  with my feet up, reading a book and enjoying a cold Yuengling and a fine afternoon....

   If you're  not here,  get here soon, and if you can't make it  this time, plan for next time.....

Man, this week has been a bear.  Not going to get a chance to load up the car until I get home tomorrow after 8PM.

Still, I'll see you guys on Friday.
