7.62x39 verses 556 Nato - Pricing

Can anyone shed some light as to why the Brass Case 556 is now cheaper than Steel Cased 7.62x39 ammunition in today?s market? The is absolutely insane. What am I missing?.

Russian import ban combined with a huge demand and production impacts in the Ukraine war.
