AK Drum Pouch / Mag Pouch combo

Working on something special and would like your input before making a bunch of them. This is an AK Drum pouch designed with configurable internal partitons so that it can also be used with AK 30 round mags. How cool is that?

The front of the pouch has an internal piece of plastic to make it rigid to maintain its shape. Drum fits snugly to reduce shifting loads.
Also makes a great first aid or other "possibles" pouch



Configure the partitions and you can hold a smoke canister and two mags or 4 mags



Has D-rings on the side for attaching a shoulder strap (will be included) and adjustable shock cord for retention



Made of 1000 Denier cordura and milspec throughout. Projecting the price to be $40-$45

That pouch would be PERFECT for somebody using the platform in a squad support role - start with the drum, convert to regular mags after it's been dropped/damaged/handed off to the other guy.

That said, most folks I know are running the platform in a rifleman/support carbine role, and probably wouldn't go with that setup.

For the target market, it's perfect - I'm just not sure there's that many folks out there who want one!

Works well with PMags but I don't have an AR drum for testing. Should work though.

I think this is a great idea for those with AES-10B RPK rifles. Of course any AK rifle will work too.... 8)

Any progress on this product? I recently started looking for something and the only thing I could find is from Poland. The stuff looks good, but the shipping would be a killer.

After working on the drum/mag pouch concept I came to the conclusion that it's too time/material intensive for what it is. The end cost would be about $60 each. I'm thinking of simplifying it by upgrading the Chinese drum pouch. Your thoughts on this?

Y'all got my hopes up. When I first saw the pics I was like "ohh, sweet! I'd go for one!"... then I read the thread and saw the original date and was like "Damn... that blows".

Sounds like it might not be a lost cause, though...
