Ammo-BOSS 12 gauge shot shell dispenser - sneak peak
« on: February 26, 2014, 11:07:46 AM »
I hinted a few weeks ago of a new product I was developing and was going to use crowdfunding to raise money for start-up costs. The Patent Pending finally came in so I can release more details on the "Ammo-BOSS" 12 gauge shotgun shell dispenser. Imagine a pez dispenser for 12 shotgun shells, we've had a 3D prototype made and there's a video here: www.Ammo-Boss.com Take a look and let me know what you think.

I was surprised at the graininess of the 3D material, it definately affected the performance of the follower. Otherwise the top (pat. pend.) performed as hoped and will be featured on version 2 along with a smaller overall body size.

Will it hold 25 rds? If so, this may be huge to the clay sports guys. When I go for a match, I gotta throw 25 rds in a vest or pockets and fumble to find them. It stinks to have to fumble around my vest pouches between fresh rounds and hulls to finish my match.

Very cool idea. I would buy one if available for the right price. What is the outlook for introductory price?

Agreed this will make shooting skeet and trap much more enjoyable, If this hits the market and is quality I know an entire club that most likely would be interested.

Nice work!
It's good to see something new that actually serves a real purpose come out rather then the same old crap or better yet another new Kydex holster company.

Guys - Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate your enthusiasm. Certainly a 25 rounder could eventually be made. Others have said 6 rounds make it more covert and deer hunting. I'm also envisioning something similar bolt/lever action calibers.

I don't know, 25 rounds of 12g would be looooong, and maybe a little unwieldy and uncomfortable. 2-12s on yur belt and one round in the hand might not be so bad. Just thinking outloud.

Great idea though, I would most definitely be down for one.

It looks like the prototype is double stacked to begin with. 12x12+1 on a strip is certainly better that a shell sack back, vest bouncing off my butt on the trap line.

OK---That is well under the max of what I would pay, so if your price doesn't skyrocket, I'd be interested in one when they are available!

Dude, that would be awesome at $35. Provided 25 rds lefty/righty. I hate wearing vests in 90'+ weather...sitting and waiting for a string of "pops" to get done losing the round.

I like it.  That would be great for sporting clays.

If you don't mind me asking what is the capacity of the prototype shown in the video?

I agree that a 25 round carrier would be ideal for my uses for skeet and 5 stand. Even making one that holds 20 and then a smaller 5-6 round carrier would be better than pouring a box of shells into my vest pocket. Two 13 rnd carriers would work too.

This version would be 12. It'll be about the height of an AR mag but twice as thick. I chose 12 rounds because it's a balance between round count (2x reload) and size that is practical for hunters and tactical shooters. A 25 round version is certainly doable with the understanding that it would be long/bulky and designed to be used on a stand-up range.
