I was given this Tula refurb . I sent it to Ben Murray last October to have the throat and neck work done that he advertises as a cure for problems with any ammo with soft primers or US manufacture. I also had him install his spring loaded firing pin to avoid any chance of a slam fire from a stuck firing pin.
I only sent him the bolt and barrel with chamber etc. I kept the stock and any parts unneeded for the work .
I only had the rifle for a couple of weeks before sending it to him. I?m sure nothing he did caused the problem seen in the pic with the stock fit to ferrule. Has anyone seen a stock with this kind of misfit? One edge of stock tab is shorter than the other . I?m guessing that I didn?t notice that before sending the parts to Murray. I even tried to move the ferrule but the pin won?t budge .
Bottom line : is this a problem with the gun?s function and safety over time .
? I plan to pass it on to a son. That?s why I had Murray do the work to insure safety.
