Chinese SKS with Blade Bayonet
« on: August 19, 2025, 07:27:03 AM »
Are the Chinese SKS with Blade Bayonet more valuable than a Spiker?
When were they made?

Usually as they were only made at the factory /26\ arsenal and from 1956 to 1964-65 and all military. All others were/are spike bayonet. That discounts the Paratrooper models that came with blade bayonets as those were re-manufactured for commercial sales and were never used in the military.

Although they're a factory Bubba, blade Paratroopers are tougher to locate. They can be assembled from the wrong the chassis, NOS pinned barres but correctly inlaid potbellied stocks. The even harder to find are correct year blade Paras. Here's a pinned one that was ordered with a blade, NIB. I have a couple pinned blades, both NIB but only one box., PAX

Thanks to the good people and good info here,
I narrowed it down to a 58/59 Norinco imported by Century in 2012.
Looks like it was carried a lot but shot little.

Sounds like it is probably an Albanian Contract Chinese SKS. (Imported from Albania)

^^^This. Many good rifles came ashore for dirt in those early batches. I picked up a couple nice ones, matching, one was an "A" letter, $265 & $185. PAX
