So far this year I've bought a Swiss SR 1911 long rifle, a 1911 carbine (K11) and just this month a K31. Man these are nice rifles, got the 1st two from Classic Firearms and the last from Simpson LTD.

Very cool- I’m familiar with the first two but I’ve only ever owned the K-31 and they are fantastic rifles. Simpson LTD are great folks to deal with.

Indeed interesting rifles. A guy brought one in to fix a feeding issue decades ago. That one was converted to 308 at some point. If you like straight pull guns, check out a 1906 Ross. Those have the slickest straight pull action of all the old military guns. I remember when those K31's were imported in big quantities some 20 years ago. A guy had 2 crates of them at a Gun Show. $89 for ones cleaned off and $79 for the cosmo-ed ones out of the crate.

Like the crates of SKS's for $89, I should have bought a hundred.

I have a G-11, built in 1918. I bought it from the Sears catalog in1963. I JUST put a scout scope on it a couple of weeks ago. took me 5 rounds to get on a 6" paper plate at 100 yds, then I shot the group of 5 in the center...using GP-11 from 1978, and a pistol scope from Cabelas. I've had quite a few rifles over the years. Some I have sold, but I will never give this one up
