That's how DBL works!

I know that one purpose of the video was to show that the bolt hold open still works, but it is also possible to empty an endless string of full mags by only charging the handle once if you leave the last round chambered from each mag and load the subsequent one in on the closed bolt.

A real SHTF gun!

That is a true statement Martin. One pull of the bolt and you can fire 1,000 rounds... Marcus

Didn't guy guy snap a mag into the reciever when the bolt was closed?!
Or did I just see things?!  If so...
Does this mean he has a bolt mod?!

If this bolt mod works with the Tapco mags, I plan on doing it.
I have an extra bolt to play with.

Yes he did snap a mag into that SKS with the bolt closed. It's called the "drop free bolt mod". I can't take credit for it, but I did make additional mods to the bolt so it would work with my adapter. The mod will work w/o the adapter if you do part 1. It works with the adapter if you do part 1&2. Marcus

I've started doing both sides on any bolts I get in for the mod. I went back and did my bolt on both sides also. It removes any possible chance of a contact with the bolt. Marcus

Here is a good read for you, Shinmen Takezo.

Thanks for the link.

And to Marcus... I just got my adaptor in the mail today.
It is wider than expected, more than the thickness of the tapco-duckbill.
So I am going to put it in the mill tomorrow and shave off a tad on each side.

I (like I told you) am installing it in a Russian fiberglass jungle stock.
I do not know if, or if I am not going to use the pin provided yet.
It may not be long enough or I may--don't know yet.
Is this a hardened steel pin? --or a cold (soft) steel pin?

Also this did not come with any layout instructions for the pin, or layout guide for cutting the duckbill off the mags.
Is this posted somewhere? Or do I have to wing this part?

I am thinking of making a router jig to make all the mags uniform when cut (and knock them out like tasty breads).
But I have to make a master to work off of first.

The install instructions are at the website, as well, the mag mod instructions. Go there www.thesksmagadapter.com and print them. Or send your email address to me at 1mlt@sbcglobal.net and I'll email them back to you. The pin is hardened, but you can cut it with a Dremel cutoff wheel. Marcus

Welcome to the show, Antibabylon.

There's a whole 'nother big world out there on the SKS Boards too, hope to see you out there!

Thanks for the videos, too.  And for those of you who don't have a band saw, I use a fine toothed Mitre saw and a dremel to smooth.
