These are made from a single piece of aluminum and not two pieces welded together. Also the bracket has been extended slightly to increase rigidity.

The standard attaching piece is a 6mm diameter chicago screw, included with the rail. Also included is a spring pin to hold the front of the rail in the rear sight base and a strip of velcro to protect the shell defelector area.

The KwikPin is an optional upgrade which can be bought for about $10. Its basically a quick release pin 6mm in diameter with a spring loaded detent at one end.

Here is a pic of a KwikPin inserted through the SKS receiver and holding the rail on. It literally takes seconds to break the rifle down in order to clean it. The rail you see is an unfinished prototype used for testing. Standard rails are finished in black anodize.

I have a few gen 1 left at $69.95 and the Premium Grade are $139.95 . Bear in mind that you probably gain about 10% on the exchange difference from US to Canadian, so your actual cost will be less than that.

I really like this new style rail, I put one on my para and with a red dote it brings my old carbine into the 21rst century.  It is rock solid and I couldn't be happier, I have my plastic bubba that I think is going to get one of these also.  If you are considering a rail for one of your shooters, I highly recommend you consider this product.
