Now I haven't received my stimulus check yet but I got a call from my sister who was very angry about getting hers.
What the hell is this crap of the second stimulus being sent out in debit cards to something called MetaBank? My sister and BIL just called me and thats how theirs came to them. You can only use it a certain ATM's so they looked on line and found one near their home. They went down to draw the money out but first checked the balance. That deducted .25 from the $1200! When they tried to withdraw the money the ATM said there was a $100 daily limit. If you go to your bank and try to "cash" the card in over the counter there is a $5 fee. You apparently can use the card to make purchases like a regular debit card without fees, which seems to be the purpose, they don't want you to just put the money in the bank and hanging on to it.
My sister ended up having to go on-line and create a MetaBank account and then transfer the cash from there into their regular bank.
If my stimulus comes that way I will not open a Metabank account! Maybe, just to spite the Gov't, I'll just use like a debit card and buy guns and ammo! So which one of the asses in DC owns stock in MetaBank?
