Not so frivolous
« on: January 23, 2021, 10:38:30 AM »
Put the free  government $ to good use on a not so frivolous but long time wanting shotgun. Should be here by the end of the week.

KS-12T reviews are awesome and better fit and finish than the Lynx and another one that I had looked at for around $500 before the craziness started. Accepts Saiga stuff and was what I would consider affordable given the current climate. $850
They have another offering that is $805.

Back when I got the Lee turret loader I also purchased their shotgun shell reloader. Glad I did. You don’t need one of those they said, you won’t save any money reloading shotgun shells they said. Well today, ain’t nary a box to be had! Every time out with the guys I’d fill up a paper shopping bag of spent hulls.

Those look nice.  I've been pondering a semi auto shotgun, but ammo availability has put me off. Good thinking ahead on reloading components.

Let us know how it shoots!

Wally World used to be a good source of shotgun shells. At around $20-$22 a 100 was an affordable way to stock pile. Got some but not as many as I would have liked. Now my store is going out of the shooting sports business. They only have a few rifles left and maybe one shotgun as of last week  :?
Sad tale

Was reading that Biden wants to pass another trillion dollar stimulus soon with another $1400 going out per adult, who knows how much per child. If that’s the case I’m taking this money and putting to a firearm purchase and a donation to the GOA/FPC. I’ve been done with adding to the collection for awhile now but since he and the Dems will be on the warpath soon I figure I will it against them and for us.

I’m thinking a Factory built SPR type AR, Galil in x39, or maybe some sort of higher end CZ or Beretta 92.

I'm wanting a semi auto shotgun.  Was hoping for a Mossberg 930, but may settle for one of these:

https://www.classicfirearms.com/panzer-arms-m4-semi-automatic-tactical-12-ga-shotgun-3-5rd-inertia-driven-black/

They were in stock last I looked, but are out now.  Supposed to be an exact clone of the Benelli M4.  They haven't been around long, so not much information about them is out there.  Panzer has been in business for awhile, and has a decent reputation from what I can tell. $550 isn't too bad of a deal, but feeding it would be the challenge.

I have a large can of 12ga, of various types of S/D loads, and at least one brick of the low brass target loads from Walmart that Filroy mentioned above.

It's my understanding that these have a break in period, and I'd like to be able to get more buckshot without digging into the stash.  I could use target loads to for the break in.  I have a Mossberg 500, but really like the idea of a fast shooting semi auto for home defense.  May be a good stimulus gun.

Any recommendations for a tactical rail light for this shotgun?

The Olight Odin, Odin Mini, or Valkyrie II would all serve you very well without putting a giant whole in your pocket.

The old pump beat me.
But he wasn't shooting buck shot.
The semi is a Turkish clone.
It is sort of fast.
My joke about it (TRUE) is I got 9 shots at a clay before it hit the ground and rolled off into the woods :)
got some advice from Ranger: LEAN IN :)

Wow, forgot, this was back in 2015/

Ordered the Odin. Looks awesome  :)  Thanks for the coupon!

One review said it was very bright indoors. Then it sounded like it has high and low which it does. My PL-2 mini is pretty bright indoors. If low is like that it will be fine.
