20 Round Magazines
« on: October 06, 2007, 12:26:52 PM »
While looking at the TAPCO website today in preparation for my upcoming order, I noticed that the 20 round magazines are no longer listed. Following an old bookmark I had for them, I get a "This item is currently available through the dealers listed below." message. However there are no dealers listed. Is TAPCO still making these? What is a good source for them?

I just found them at sportsman's guide.  I would probably check with Benny429 to see if he has them as well.

That's strange...I just ordered 2 of them directly from the Tapco site last week and got them Thursday afternoon.  I do know that J&G and AIM have them on their sites.  Actually for cheaper than Tapco also.

I don't mind buying from some other vendors. I was just wondering why tapco didn't have them on their site anymore.

Tapco site at this time;

I think that is very common for manufacturers to sell things at full retail, where their distributors will sell at a discount.

My suggestion would be to give him his own user group and title. Call it "Special" or "Shortbus".... maybe "Gimpy 'tard".

I would be a shame if production of these was halted.They are by far the best aftermarket detachable mag for an SKS out there IMO.

I'd be amazed if they had stopped production.

In my latest contact with Bill (where he cleared up a snafu for me in a most classy fashion) they mentioned developing their reseller channels.

Maybe they are just giving their sellers a break by not competing with them.  They're a manufacturer after all, the whole net retail thing was likely a partial development to get the brand out there until they can sell through retailers.

Looks like a programming glitch.  Nothing serious.

The magazines are on the website for $19.99.  You need to use the search function and I used the phrase 'magazine' to search with to find the site.

Hope this helps,
