1975 yugo 59/66 L452286 Matching numbers
« on: March 25, 2021, 12:19:39 PM »
So this is my first sks and new to the community. I've read around and looked thru most of the boards but just looking for a little more info. And just trying to inventory my rifle. A few questions I was hopeful to get answers for,
1. What I assume is armorer's mark, but what are the second set of numbers etched on the mag well and trigger assembly?
1a. Do those secondary number help identify use or issue or issuers?
2. Any count as a rifle? How's it shoot, should I shoot it?
3. How does it stand up as a collector item?
More pic on photo bucket cause small upload size.

I have a Yugo 59/66A1 and it has the same numbers as yours. As I understand, the etched numbers are parts numbers, similar to the NATO control numbers used by the U.S. military.  Apparently these were used in the assembly process or during a rebuild but hopefully someone much more knowledgeable than I will inform you.
