You can get a barrel from a de-milled kit around $100. I had checked with Ben Murray once not too long ago and a re-barrel is up to $200 timed and head-spacing included. For $300 I would part the gun out and buy a new one as you will probably end up with less money in it that way. Unless of course you can do the re-barrel job yourself, but the SKS is more like re-barreling a bolt action than anything else.
