Classic Firearms right now has the American Tactical Omni Hybrid 16" 5.56x45mm Semi-Automatic AR-15 Rifle with 15" M-LOK Handguard, 60 Round Magazine, Red/Green Reflex Sight - Battlefield Green - on sale for $399 until 3/13/23.  That's less than $400 for a fully functional AR (no to mention it comes with a 60rd mag).  I can't believe we've finally hit the point where an SKS will cost you more than an AR, but here we are so maybe we need to enjoy it.  Here's the link .

If you're interested, they also have their Classic Firearms branded AR mags for $8

As well as some really nifty looking Alien green AK mags for about $13

While you're there, you might also want to pick up a couple of NCStar AK/SKS canvas slings that look just like the original Chinese slings (more or less).  They're currently going for about $6 each.

I cant really get to the specs about this particular gun as I'm on my phone, but if "hybrid" refers to the receiver being polymer,  I would say 'functional AR' may be an overstatement. Plastic receiver AR are cheap for a reason. Adding the red dot and 60 round mag may attract some buyers, but from most accounts plastic ARs are not dependable.

If I was going the budget AR route, I would look into Bear Creek Arsenal offerings.

This is just my opinion of course, and good on Cesar for posting up a deal for his brothers in arms.

The Omni is a standard polymer lowered AR. I’ve seen reviews where they run okay and other where they took a dump within a 100 rounds or so. If I were going to go the polymer lower route it would definitely be the KE Arms one piece like the old Cav Arms lowers.

It is a polymer rifle which I know are sometimes problematic. Some years ago I purchased four PlumCrazy lowers and other than some fitting issues at the beginning, I've never had a problem with them, but your mileage may vary.  I will say that I'm familiar with ATI products and have been very impressed by their quality, though I can't speak about this particular rifle.
