No Click
« on: February 21, 2009, 01:48:08 PM »
I took my sks out today to the range.

No issues. Everything cycled perfectly.

So when I got home, I disassembled the rifle, cleaned it good, and reassembled. I pulled the charge handle, and went to pull the trigger.

No click.

I can't for the life of me figure what I did wrong here.

Any ideas?

Is the bolt all the way closed?  Sometimes cycling it by hand is gentler than normal cycling

It looks like the front disconector is being pushed just a hair to far down.

Know any remedies, or is this something that requires some professional work?

So your saying the trigger bar is underneath the sear?  The sear is not being pushed forward?

when you dissembled for cleaning, did you take the trigger group apart as well?  Did you remove any of the trigger group pins

I'm guessing that you can pull the trigger full distance but nothing happens?

Is that what you mean by "no click" ?

You should double check the seating of the trigger group.
Make sure the front end is fully engaged at the front.
Then make sure that when you lock the back end of the TG,
that the receiver and the trigger group is squeezed together fully,
so that locking tang is all the way into the TG frame.
