Took a couple pics at the new range today.
300yd splatter targets were all washed out by the mirage.

Started about 9AM gave up about 1PM.

But, we did have to range to ourselves.

Camera did get hits on 300yd steel.

Found a bargain of a lens.
A old 100mm-400mm Promaster (Cosina) NEW in box, a little less than $85 shipped. 
Original paperwork, warranty card, box, caps and hood.
I have one I bought used in 2011 and it's in worn shape.  Quit using it as it would drag in AF. 
This one shows no marks.  AF runs smoothly (screw drive). The aperture isn't fast but I used the heck out of the 400mm reach with the old one. 
Will likely post some pics in the next few days.

Well, here's one I took on Saturday. Technically I didn't take the picture myself as I was the one being photographed, but I had someone take it with my phone. 

Saturday 11/12/22, I went to the NFA Review Channel's SuppressedFest where there were rows of vendors of suppressors and suppressor supplies, and several were allowing attendees to try out the wares.  One of the most unique displays was from Gear Head Works who had purchased John Wick's 1969 Ford Mustang and had it there for display.  They were allowing attendees to sit in the car for photos.  They had a rack of rifles that you could pick to hold for your picture.  I chose a 9mm Skorpion.  Here's the pic.




I was representing the boards all day as I chose to wear my 2010 SKS Florida event polo shirt (I think that's the only time the event shirt was a polo).  It was a great event, but driving to Leesburg and back (roughly 300 miles each way) in a single day was a bit rough.  It reminded me of the times I drove back and forth to Atlanta.

Got out late today with the camera (after 600yd range trip and a nap ).
These two were taken @ ISO3200, f/4, 1/800 sec, about 100mm in the shade.

Was sitting outside and the babies came up.  Was too dark to take a decent picture so I ran the ISO up to 40,000. 
Grainy, color soft, but not bad for the lighting.
