New member here and 1st post.
I hope to be an active member, but my SKS knowledge is lacking.
Here's my SKS, I've refinished it and mounted a scope to it.

I've not yet taken it to the range, but the mount with the cheek pad are welcomed additions. My eye's just can't use iron sights anymore.
For the Choate mount, I did a "professional" job, in that I have a mill. So it's mounted as well as can be.
Now I'm contemplating using a mag setup on it, since the striper clip is blocked. Not the end of the world for a plinker.

On My Cowboys Companion it has a T89 mount, and I used small glass, fixed 4X28 so I could still use strippers. You can also flip the riffle over and load from the bottom. It's not like you're in a firefight. PAX
