Tapco no more?

No more tapco? Is anyone going to be producing tapco products? Any idea of what the future brings?

Seems like Remington is dropping them along with Bushmaster and DPMS. Maybe they will sell each one of the names or line off but who knows.

If you want to stock up CDNN still has a supply of them you can find the direct link on the last page or two in my daily deals thread in the deals and steals section.

I am a Remington distributor. Just hung up with Remington. Yes, all production of the SKS x39 Tapco mags is "on hold" until further notice. There are 4-5 more "items" that are on the list. None of them are SKS related. This decision was made because of lack of sales. Whatever stock is out there is all there is, at least for now. I think I just lost my business.

I ordered 2 from cdnn...

Marcus, if you have any mags, good thing is they will only go up in value...

The drop in sales probably has a lot to do with the fact any SKS costs more than a guarden variety ar15 now... The AR seems to have become the poor man's SKS... Don't get me started on how ak's have gone up in price... Even the membership here has suffered from the sky rocketing prices and drop in popularity of SKS's compared to AR's...

Never did I ever think I'd hear the phrase "ar15 truck gun"... AR's were for rich people...

BTW Marcus, I still want the one that uses the asc mags... The 9 I think it is? I just bought an x39 upper for my stag and would love to have mags that interchange between the AR and my shernic...

Maybe you could buy tapcos molds and make the mags yourself... Call them "Marcos"

Yes, the G9. We are redesigning it to make it easier to install. I hope to have the new prototype next week for testing.
