What are gas and diesel prices in your areas?

We were $1.999 for gas for a long time. Tuesday it went to $2.1999 and today it's $2.309.

I don't really track diesel because I since I don't use it.

** One of my guys just came in. He bought diesel Monday at $2.309. Today it's an average of $2.68 at 5 local stations. Roughly 15% increase.


A 15% increase in one week.

My wife is a safety manager for a company that hauls a lot of fuel. They are taking precautions against hijackers and potential terrorists.

I saw $2.20 yesterday and thought it’s going up cuz of Biten?? Paid $2 last Monday and as low as $1.75 at Costco a few months ago.

Yeah, green energy can't compete in the market unless oil is high, and they prefer to do that with taxes and mandates that stifle demand while costing more.

Got it for $2.51 yesterday. 30 minutes from my house it was $2.72 a gallon today.

Gas Buddy is a cell app, that's pretty handy for finding locations & prices, when you're out of town.

They also have a website that's very handy for digging into gas price data. You can show multiple
traces for national, state, and some cities, and change time interval displayed.

It's $2.399-$2.449 today.

Up .45 cents in two weeks.

Was $2.09 reg/gas earlier this week, is up to $2.24 now.  I didn't pay attention to diesel.  This is Lake Cumberland area, South/Central KY (Somerset).

Gas prices fluctuate dramatically based on time of year. At certain times they are go up and certain times they go down. This can happen pretty suddenly. You have to look at the price of gas this time last year to get an idea. Jan 21 2019 average US gas price was $2.34. Jan 20th 2020 average US gas price was $2.62. Jan 18th 2021 average price in US is $2.46.  I did not bother to check Diesel, I think it tends to act independently from gas prices but I could be wrong.

Yup I hear the Keystone pipeline is going to die very soon along with a ton of jobs and at a big cost to Americans.

The company my wife works for has gas stations across 5 states.

They're being told proces are going to go up.

Some of the increase is due to the new administration's energy policies, restricted drilling, cancellation of pipelines, etc.

Most industries can't raise prices by 23% almost overnight without a lot of scrutiny. The media is dead silent on this one, they're more interested in crucifing Trump.

By the way, steel tubing prices have doubled since November 3rd. I'm paying .95 cents per pound for the same steel that cost .48 cents in October and early November.
