Picked up a Frankford Arsenal Intellidropper recently (most affordable of the bunch) and wish I had this years ago!

It does deliver a .1g accuracy as advertised though the scale itself is kind of finicky. Despite some minor annoyances this thing well outpaces what I can do with a bar or even a digital scale! I did some 6.5 Creedmoor recently and during zero all but one of 6 bullets passed through the same hole at 80 yards.

I admit I haven't "hand loaded" in a bunch of years. Still have all the "stuff" to do it. Back in the day, if, you were hunting, a gram or 2  (or even 3) wasn't a big deal. HOWEVER, when it came to "target accuracy", 3 grams could cost you the match. I have recently wondered how accurate the "new" scales are? Thanks Projo. EDIT: I used a scale that was a "counter weight balance scale". You know old school crap. Had to slide the counter weight to get -0- balance for the "charge".

Thanks Projo, that's awesome video.  Probably too rich for my blood, but nice to see how the other half lives.  :)

Realistically, I haven't reloaded in so long it wouldn't be cost effective.  I tend to accumulate components for years, then load everything I have and put my stuff away until next time.  I may be ready to have another reloading session sometime this year though, so you never know.

Dispensers can be a real time saver.
I bought a older model used Lyman Gen 5, advertised as +/- 0.1 grain.
Looks NEW, IN BOX, $95, SHIPPED, NO TAX.

20 drops @ 31.5 grains of SB 6.5 (very fine ball powder), checked against my A&D EJ-54D2, gave me:
Min 31.42 gr,
Max 31.56 gr,
ES  0.14 gr,
Mean 31.48 gr,
SD 0.045 gr.

Set on auto, will have the next charge ready by the time I pinch up/down on the scale and dump into case.
Less work than using my Lee powder measure.
For 600yds I try to be a little closer than +/- 0.1 grain.

Thanks! I tried the auto function on this one, but the scale goes back and forth on zero so much between dumps I found it easier to just push the button after putting the tray back down. One of my gripes!

Ha! Trust me I'm not the other half lol, but can no longer afford commercial 6.5 Creedmoor or be dependent on whatever varying bullet weight I find in stock. I have a Savage Stealth I'd like to get some decent long range time on this summer, and my hunting rifle is 6.5 also so this helps!

I think this one was $180 new, quite cheaper than comparable models.

I think I finally have it down to a consistent process.
Using the scale as both a backup measuring device, and "adjustment platform" to correct high or low charges from the dispenser doesn't add (much) time to the process.
I can pinch in or out a small amount of powder pretty quickly while the Lyman auto dumps the next charge.
The Lyman Gen 5 is an older model but seems to do OK.  Still don't know what all the buttons do though :).
