AK Newbie question

Did the mak 90 come with a black plastic dragonov style stock? The guy at LGS is sayin my drag queen stock is factory and some mak90's came with them in the 90s. I distinctly remember the wood thumbhole stocks being on all of them but I'm no ak guy so I may be wrong...

I'm still looking for the original mak90 wood furniture for a price i'm willing to pay

I never saw an actual MAK90 come with a black plastic stock.  Not directly from Norinco anyway.  There were several other similar model AK's around that time that came with a bunch of different thumbhole type stocks such as the Egyptian MAADI, until people figured out about reducing the parts count.  I suppose it's possible, but I'd never heard of it.

At least now you know the furniture may actually be OEM. Might make it worth more.  :)

Back in the day they used to import them and change them at the importer. Choate and ATI stocks were used often before coming to market. K-Sports was one of the importers that changed a lot of the Chinese guns coming in for sale. Even the SKS has K-Sports variants.

A few years ago I bought a Century Arms AK47 in 7.62x39mm in machine steel construction.   It is a heavy piece to lug around and came with a laminated fiber stock.   I've since removed the original stock and installed lighter weight fiber stock.   I haven't fired it very much, maybe 100 rounds.    I've read some articles in which the writer has had some experiences with this model AK47.   Has anyone else had bad experiences with the particular gun and if so could you pass your experiences pn to me.   If you have one of these and like it, let me know that as well.    Thanks
