We still don't know who or even how many people the Feds are looking to indict for "straw purchasing" for the perp, but it's clear they're looking to make a example out of someone.

They largely don't prosecute straw purchases, even if they admitted to it.

Current girlfriend was indicted today on a bunch of charges, including 5 counts each of lying on her 4473 and straw purchase:  https://www.fox9.com/news/burnsville-shooting-straw-purchasing-charges

. . . and that's just the Federal charges.  I expect State charges in addition.  Plus, they were dumb enough to text each other about the whole thing.  With three LEOs down, .GOV is so gonna make an example out of her.

I only weird question left about this incident is why was law enforcement called in the first place?  Something still doesn't seem right about that part.

Now the local media outlet is complaining that "'straw' gun buyers often are women in abusive relationships":  https://www.startribune.com/women-in-abusive-relationships-are-frequent-firearm-buyers-for-those-barred-from-owning-them/600368422/.

I'm sure the next thing will be that because the new law here in Minnesota is so bad for women, we need to just ban all guns . . .
