Winter Storm Blair
« on: January 05, 2025, 04:05:52 PM »
How's everybody making out?

Hasn't started snowing here yet, we're just under cloudy skies.

No wind to speak of, But the air quality is good and the UV index is low.

I've moved both vehicles to the shop and have the blade on the tractor in the garage, all ready to go out and plow snow.

Hope everybody is doing OK cause this one looks like a real mess all the way out West.

We are projected to get down to 25 (way cool for the south) and rain (No SNOW :( ).
I don't plan to go out but have packages that I hope have made it out of the storm already.
The Pietta is coming from Detroit and a rather expensive (for me) scope out of NY.

Don't know what storm they're calling it here in Kansas City, but we're at 18* (High of 25*, but don't know if it'll get there) with a wind chill of -3*. Supposed to end up anywhere from 14"-19" of snow with ice underneath.

Good thing the Chiefs aren't playing in Kansas City today, LOL.

It's supposed to go all the way to the coast.

This is our 1st shot of winter so far this... winter.  We are in sever drought, but finally caught some snow, just a couple inches, and about a 5 degree low for a couple nights, up until now we have been in the 50s day time and rarely even froze at night.  Pleasant weather, but put us about 10" short of snow for Nov/Dec, and 7" short of rain for the year end.  Dreading more, but hoping it comes is kind of a weird feeling.

Columbus was a mess last night. It wasn't too bad about 10-20 miles north of it though. Lows were in the single digits easily.

Cold here in Minnesota, but no snow in the forecast.

A little snow, a lot of ice.  Schools were closed today and again tomorrow.  I'm on call for my job, and am dealing with travel related call ins.  Lows in the 20s tonight, lows in the low teens later in the week.  Supposed to be another winter storm on the heels of this one about Friday.

OP, hope you get some problem free precipitation up your way.
