The NorKom's just detonated an H Bomb that is suspected to be 10X the size of their largest bomb to date.  They also have missile technology to launch it into space and detonate it over the US.  This is getting serious folks.  Are you concerned?  Doing anything "just in case"?  Did you see what happened to a large metro area when Harvey hit?  Am I the only one getting bad vibes about everything going on in the last 9-12 months?  Ugh

Is it odd that I am not concerned with North Korea at all?  They are all talk, they are using up their nuke material and rockets in tests faster than they can make them, have fun with that.

Maybe. They could also be weapons testing for other countries too.

Actually not, well they could be all talk, but it's not like they are shooting away their capabilities, on the contrary they are ramping up, faster than originally estimated..
rand estimates they have enough nuclear material for 13-21 bombs, and have just doubled the size of their centrifuge plant in 2015, so they have (roughly) the capability to produce a bomb's worth of u235 a month. sweet dreams

It is my opinion Korea will not launch on the U.S.  because it would be suicide and they know it.   What you are seeing with all this testing is merely a show.... A show of force in an attempt to keep certain countries at bay so they can maintain their sovereignty if you will. And of coarse you can depend on the "media"  to eploit matters and take every opportuniy to instill a sense fear and urgency into its viewers.

There are no easy solutions regarding North Korea, but I hope we don't hit them pre-emptive (sp?). 

If we hit them first, they will hit us back in one way or another for sure..  Starting a war to prevent a war is not the way to go, IMO...

Well we  are still at war, or 'armed conflict' with them since we never really agreed to more than what is a cease fire, not a peace agreement of any kind.   The only kind of preemptive strike that would accomplish anything is to basically obliterate NK command structure and any military capability, and that's not going to be justified until he actually uses one of his weapons.
