Actually, it is a Tapco, SKS, 20 round mag, modified to fit the adapter. It is NOT related to the AK mag or rifle at all. This adapter has nothing to do with an "M" model. This adapter is designed to work on the "standard" SKS that accepts SKS type mags only. You do not need to do the bolt mod for it to work. I have done the mod and it works open or closed. Yes. the hold open works as it was designed. Watch the video and you will see the bolt lock open and hear me say "you are done".

You don't need a template to do it But detailed instructions will be included. We will also make a video and post it here and to the website. thesksmagadapter.com
