Duck-Bill-Less-Mag "UPDATE" on status and offer date

Happy New Year guys. Stick with me, we are very close to the finish line. Here's the latest news on the "SKS Mag Adapter". The "Project" is entering the final stages. I want to clear up a possible misconception. This adapter does NOT allow you to use AK mags in the SKS. It DOES allow you to use "most any" duckbill SKS style mag, that were originally designed for the SKS and modified to fit the adapter. Nothing AK is involved here.

Galahad and I did the "Live Fire" tests in December of the mag adapter in action. We video taped the tests and posted them on the website. The tests were flawless. No jams, stovepipes, misfeeds, F-T-F, nothing bad happened in my test rifle, a Yugo M59/66. She sports a T6 stock, with the "front end" stripped off. Goodies from Murray were also added. It went so well it was scary. Having said that, please continue below.

We are making a change to the latching point to accommodate those of you with steel mags. Several steel mags have been modified and those have been successful. However, "now my disclaimer", the adapter IS designed around using the Tapco line of mags. I want to thank Lollygagger for the steel mag idea. A side benefit of moving the latch point UP is those of you with Magpul stocks may be able to use the adapter.

EDITED TO ADD, I realize there is NOT a ready supply of COMMERCIALLY MADE Magpul stocks. Just the homemade versions. ALA, Ranger1968 newest version.

I don't have one to try it on, so I can't confirm or deny positively. With the move of the latch point, the "rock" part of Rock-N-Lock is reduced (flatter). Meaning you don't have as sharp a mounting angle to latch the mag. The relocated trigger on the Magpul stocks "should" not interfere with loading the mag now. And the "tab" on the mag is strengthened considerably.
