Mag Adapter and the Shernic stock

Except it works ONLY with his stock. My adapter works with any stock. And his is kinda pricey?

I was thinking (implied) that it works with just his stock.  I have no idea on the price, I was just searching stuff on youtube when I came across this.  I imagine it's either included with his stock or an extra $100 or so.  :dontknow:

It's an extra cost for the adapter.

OK, there will be no barrel support rings in the Shernic if you use the G5. The locking piece and the rings occupy the same space. Physics 101 says two solid objects can not do that. So, the rings had to be modified or go. It was much easier to take them out, Dremel the area so the locking piece had a place to rest and put the stock together. Pix of the new adapter are in a thread in this section. I'll get some pix of the inside of the stock and post them.

I saw a post in a Shernic thread in the GD section.  I'm very interested in the G5 mag release system -  I plan on using my SGW SKS in 'tactical carbine' matches, and quick mag changes, with easily carry-able magazines will be a MUST.  

Looks to me like you could just easily use your strong hand to trip the lever and drop the mag free, then return to the pistol grip to then transition to the weak hand to retrieve a fresh magazine, insert and charge.  


Added:  My stock will be here tomorrow, so I'm going to start the basic installation. I only have 1 duckbill mag on hand.  I'd love to order the G5 and a couple fully modified mags to use as templates for future mag mods.  I'll keep an eye out here for availability.
