what's your SHTF melee weapon of choice?

Without a firearm, I have several things I think COULD work. I have my Cold Steel Heavy Terrain Chopper, with a 15 inch blade. It was a limited production item. I also have other knives from Glock field to Cold Steel OSS to even a Machete from Colombia that is very impressive.
In the club division, I have my wooden Louisville SLugger I've hade for 35 years now still in excellent shape. I also have a new handle in my pick that I'd take out in a moment and it would be a fine club.
if I had to plan on a weapon for hand to hand, I'd look for a good spear, and a small sword ot large knife with a tanto type blade and have it razor sharp. I'd also stay in a high position with a pile of bricks to throw, and make Molotov Cocktails.

Pictured below the refurbed '51 Tula is my choice. My sister brought back a field machete from Nicaragua with The Gaudiest Sheath Ever. But it's crazy strong, sharp, and flexible and will probably outlast me. Between that and the bottle of Ola Dubh (9% ABV porter aged in Highland Park scotch casks) I'll be all set.

It's kind of hard to beat a Woodsman's Pal. Perfect for clearing a campsite or getting your butt out of trouble.

Second would be one of the Cold Steel rifleman's hawks

Honestly, Ive not yet made up my mind for a melee weapon.  In my ownership is

1. crowbar
2. small crowbar
3. homemade machete with no sheath but strong
4. small gerber machete with back saw
5. kukri (cheap kind)

Of course I have an SKS with bayo but I don't consider that in this discussion simply because it has the capability to fire projectiles and it still has ammo.  When all my ammo runs out, I'll add it to this list.  which would you guys take?  I've seriously thought about buying a baseball bat strictly for this purpose as baseball is lightyears from my interests..

M9 bayo and fireman's hatchet, I have a machete as well but could stand to get a better quality one.

I picked up this Walther machete from sports mans guide due to the reviews it had. I did not
want to get a $10.00 special but wanted to stay in a reasonable price range so this fit the bill.
Its sharp as hell and scores high in scary factor if I had to pull it out for use, but it looks like its
going to be a PITA to sharpen due the the shape of the blade.  I also plan to get a good ranger
throwing tomahawk and just picked up a Glock knife.

Yeah that's tight as hell for a chete! I don't think tho that I could bring myself to use that for any chopping or cutting.
