I wanted a five round magazine for hunting, and needed a shorter magazine for shooting from a bench, which is most of the shooting I do. I've never seen the Tapco factory 5 rounder in person, but from the pictures on your website, it appears that it uses the same body as the 20 rounder.
I'm curious why you do this?
In order to get a shorter version, I cut a 20-rounder down and glued it back together. The magazine pictured below is a true 5 round capacity magazine. That's all the height it needs, the rest is just wasted plastic. Other makers make short 5 round magazines (I believe ProMag makes one) but the quality and functionality are inferior to yours. At this point I can cut one down and glue it together in about a half hour, so I suppose if I'm alone in wanting this, then there's not much to say. But I would like to suggest that Tapco create a magazine body that reflects the number of rounds it holds.
