Try maybe an autoparts store for spray on bed liner.
Experience is the hardest kind of teacher, it gives the test 1st and the lesson after.

Courage is knowing it may hurt and doing it anyway.
Stupidity is the same.
This is why life is so hard.

Bat Boy, I called Line X to see how much it would cost to have them done, the guy told me if he was already doing somebodys truck, he could spray them for $70. I think that price is absurd. We are talking about plates that are 10 inches by 12 inches. Everybody keeps mentioning you can spray it yourself, I went to Lowes and couldnt find anything. But I am not too worried about it, chances are I will never be in a fire fight and if so, I will have much bigger problems than fragmentation.

Or buy a spall guard liner- the link someone shared to the guys selling the non AR500 armor plates has them. The fabric spall guards have the added feature of cushioning your plates.

Arms are the only true badge of liberty. The possession of arms is the distinction of a free man from a slave.

I would say, if you are willing to carry around 10-20 lbs of heavy, hot, non-breathable plate armor, you might as well do it right.
