Divert your eyes from the beautiful sks and on to the new ak

After seeing every AR sell out of a kinda local gun store, the father bought this I.O Inc. ak for $650. There was only this gun and a yugo m70ab2 left of the ak's. So far it's been great except for the sight not adjusting but the gun shop easily fixed that when we asked a couple days later. It came with 2 mags and a shop on the other side of town had 1 tapco mag. Probably kinda expensive for the gun, but in the end we have an ak  8)

That's actually not that bad a price all things considered.  Enjoy it!  And when things calm a bit, snag some mags for it.

Just out of curiosity, do you remember how much they were asking on the Yugo M70?

Drop that 10 rounder out of the SKS and throw a Tapco 20 in  :shock:

Not a bad price for the AK compared to what they are going for around here........,

That's too bad. At the same price, the Yugo was a much better buy, unless it was beat up/clapped out/etc. Enjoy your IO. They have had a spotty rep but have reportedly been better as of late.

Not my gun. Just get to shoot it. It's the father's. As long as it always goes bang and hits 4 inch size targets out to 50 yards he's happy.

I dont know, The Russians went from the sks to the AK because it was an upgrade. I want to get me another sks at the moment its on my list of next firearm..... BUUUUUT if I got to the gun shop and they had them sitting pretty next to eachother ..... Same price.... Give me the AK ... Im just use to it . Even though I know SKS rifles The Ak has a special place in my heart. Its personal .

just made a deal on the same ak!  ny cousin inlaw is selling me his for 500 with 100 rounds and two mags.  his beat nikl friend offered him 300 then 400. i laughed since this gun only has 50 rounds put through it.  so prices are sstill fair. unless your nam,es begins with keltek. than its all over the place.
