What would trigger SHTF?

So I was thinking, what would trigger a SHTF scenario? What would it take to set the ball rolling?

When you know what the triggers are, you can better predict/prepare for the coming scenario...what do you think will cause our fall?

Just curious what the consensus of the board is on this.

The "S" being thrown at the fan, most likely....  :lol:

Really though.  There are no clear cut warnings, that will be broadcast loud and clear.  Depending on the type of "S" hitting the fan, it could be China cutting ties to the US, the Middle East banning oil exports, the Bird flu making it over......

depends how bad the SHTF is too..... *shrug*

Nuclear or biological terrorist attack - government dictatorial responce to such attacks - monetary collapse - large scale natural disastors, major weather changes, earthquakes, exploding volcanos, polar ice caps melting, etc. - revolution - government crackdown on freedom - massive worldwide crop failure - heavy outbreak of avian influenza - attack from outer space by allien culture - war amongst the major powers - society collapse due to lack of fuel - shortage of 7.62 x 39, just to name a few.

what about w/ all the protests going on w/ immigration?  I wonder if there would be rioting if this is all passed and it becomes a felony to be illegal.  I of course am for this law but I worry about the reactions that might come from illegals and those that want them here.
