I've been to France, lived & traveled amongst them, and drew 2 basic conclusions from my own experience. 1. Most of the propaganda you hear about these people is just that - propaganda B.S. 2. These are the most revolutionary people on the planet today, and we would do well to heed their lead. They still build the streets in Paris 100 yards wide - why? - so it will be difficult for the people to barricade them when rioting, yet I saw a picture of one of these wide streets barricaded the other day on Yahoo's news picture spread on the rioting. In some neighborhoods in Paris, the government has come in and removed the cobblestones in the streets and replaced them with poured solid concrete - why? - to deny the people ammo when rioting. I know that 2 years ago some French electricians in a bucket truck cut the main electrical feed to the French Presidential Palace in the heat of summer - just to show their President their displeasure at some trifle they were upset about, the people in the streets were cheering the crew on, and the power stayed off for about a half an hour - try that in D.C. If Americans can outdo the French in civil disobedience, it will be a day of rejoicing amongst amber fields of grain!
