PTR 32 in 7.62x39 (AK Mags)
« on: November 13, 2016, 06:07:39 PM »
I'm putting this in the AK pics area because it uses AK Magazines.
I bought this a few months ago and finally got around to getting some pictures.
I believe these are build using HK G3 surplus parts with a receiver built to take AK mags.

Original stock.

I splurged and bought collapsable stock (add $250! ouch). It makes it easier to pack but only has one length.

What spare parts should I have on hand? I have no experience with this type of rifle.

Beautiful!  You shouldn't need any spare parts.

That is a thing of beauty.  I'd have kept the original stock on it, but that's a personal choice.  I'll let others chime in on what parts to get, but man, what an awesome looking rifle.  Congrats on your acquisition.

You only have to pull two pins to switch stocks, no tools required.
Takes a minute or less.
It's a very good design!

I have a source for parts at wholesale just don't know what might break and what to have on hand in a SHTF situation.

the rollers should be changed every 1000 rounds and geat the right size rollers you will need 2 to make a set . and thats what the german military did the hole time when thay used the g3 sow its worth changing  sow you dont mess up that nice toy. and bolt head should be changed every 2000 rounds and that from ptr91 i know it sucks and geat head space guages and you good to go. by the way i love eney thing hk design.
