My Tula parts kit build
« on: September 03, 2017, 01:30:40 AM »
I've had this gal since about 2012 but have never gotten any decent pictures of her. She's a mix-master build off of Tula parts around a NoDak receiver that I got from Atlantic Firearms. After a few thousand rounds she's never given me a lick of trouble no matter the mag or ammo. At some point I'm going to put a side rail on so I can mount a decent optic, but as-is she'll shoot "minute of badguy behind partial cover" with just irons. Any thoughts on a decent side rail, mount, and optic for a basic fighting carbine?

Very nice. I really like the furniture. I did a short review on the side mount and optic I put on mine. You can read it here.

My next setup will have this to mount a red dot on. I can't think of anything more stable. But I did used to have one of those mounts made in Belarus that was nice. It was heavy but rock solid and more versatile than the new one I want to try.

Replaces the rear sight block. Groove acts as rear iron sight when optic is removed.
