Well, I have to admit I was eyeballing some lead core steel case Wolf in .223 made by Barnaul, but it sold out as soon as the invasion began.
I know it's not rational, but I don't want to shoot steel jacketed ammo through my AR15. I realize that it's softer steel than the barrel, but I just don't like the idea of it. But I shoot bimetal jacketed through the SKS all the time (or when I get to shoot, all the time is not entirely accurate). Like I said, it doesn't really make sense, but I don't like the idea of it.
Wolf has some steel case .223 but the bullet was lead core copper jacketed, and I was about to grab a couple hundred from SGAmmo along with some Aussie ADI MATCH ammo, but I didn't jump quick enough.
Barnaul is my favorite Russian ammo, but that's about all I got from Russia. I hate vodka, and Russia no longer exports SKS. I've got plenty of x39 and not enough 5.56.
I'll do whatever it takes to support Ukraine in their struggle, as long as it doesn't cost money or inconvenience me in any way...
