Don't buy Russian "stuff?
« on: February 26, 2022, 06:03:02 PM »
Who here will stop buying "Russian anything"? I won't get rid of, but I won't purchase anything going forward.

What the hell actually comes from Russia? Russian
Ammo went away last summer and they don’t bring any firearms into the US anymore. Anything outside firearms?

Well, I have to admit I was eyeballing some lead core steel case Wolf in .223 made by Barnaul, but it sold out as soon as the invasion began.

I know it's not rational, but I don't want to shoot steel jacketed ammo through my AR15.  I realize that it's softer steel than the barrel, but I just don't like the idea of it.  But I shoot bimetal jacketed through the SKS all the time (or when I get to shoot, all the time is not entirely accurate).  Like I said, it doesn't really make sense, but I don't like the idea of it.

Wolf has some steel case .223 but the bullet was lead core copper jacketed, and I was about to grab a couple hundred from SGAmmo along with some Aussie ADI MATCH ammo, but I didn't jump quick enough.

Barnaul is my favorite Russian ammo, but that's about all I got from Russia.  I hate vodka, and Russia no longer exports SKS.  I've got plenty of x39 and not enough 5.56.

I'll do whatever it takes to support Ukraine in their struggle, as long as it doesn't cost money or inconvenience me in any way...

Any Wolf, RAS, or the other steel cased off brands that have popped up over the last year are made in Ukraine and I’m pretty sure that’s all over for the foreseeable future.

On that subject, does anyone know how long the warranty is on a Russian mail order bride?

About the same as a car from a used car lot...30 feet or 30 seconds, whichever comes first.

I dont see US domestic manufacturers rushing to fill the vacuum in the market. I'll buy whatever I want to buy.

anything russian is gonna be worth tripple its current value in a short time. Russia is gonna be the next North Korea soon.  Their people will be starving by winter of 23. When the ports are blocked, they will not be able to sell any oil anywhere. So South America will not even be able to help them.
All they will have is their nuclear arsenal.  If, they can get the troops that operate them to push the button. If they do, Russia will not exist anymore.
