Is this a 49 Russian
« on: May 25, 2022, 08:49:36 PM »
Anyway to identify what this is? Advertised as a 1949 Russian with Spike Bayonet and bought it thinking it would fit my 1969 Chinese threaded barrel but, it does not. The receiver seems a bit too long to fit into stock. When I look at an example of a 1949 Russian on Yoopers there are inspection/proof marks which are completely absent from this stock. They may have been sanded off during the refinishing process. Any thoughts? If this is actually a 1949 Russian does the stock carry a premium due to scarcity? Thanks for your help

can I get pictures of the crossbolt area and the sides of the stock at the rear. the number does not at all look Russian. Honestly, the wood does not look Russian, but more pictures would help.

Thanks

How many reinforcement pins are there in the forearm of the stock? Chinese stocks have 2, Russians have 1.
+1 to Darin's post.
When the SHTF you better already have it at hand, because it won't be on the shelves when you get to the Wal-Mart land.
