In my mind, which is a small space to say the least, I never understood the Ex DDR concept. Would those guns have been imported from Germany? If not, how would hey have gotten back to Ukraine, or Russia to be exported? Very rare for lend lease, or aid to go back to the country of origin. I guess it does happen, but it's pretty rare right? Maybe Comblock does it another way, but we have always just left our aid wherever, the let the citizens buy it back from commercial channels with the exception of some CMP programs.
Who knows.
