What’s the difference between the Glock 45 and 17? It said something about the slide being compact on a full size frame but I could t see any difference.

The Glock 45 is a G19 size slide (compact) on a G17 frame which is a full size. It’s an excellent handgun that I would get in a 2nd if I didn’t have a 17 and a 19 already. It’s extremely well balanced.

I have a G17g5 and had a G19g4 up until I bought a full size Dagger frame and Dagger compact slide.  This is PSA's equivalent of a G45 except with much better ergonomics.    Love 'em or hate 'em, PSA executed a perfect Gen3 clone in my opinion.  All for about $269 (on sale).

It's a cross over model. G19 slide (compact) on a G17 (full sized) frame pretty much. The 19x is pretty much the same as the G45. Both the G45 and 19x are made for duty carry, not CCW. Officers, soldiers, and MPs wanted the shorter barrel with the full sized frame.

I picked up a loaded Dagger a few months back right before I moved for $299.99. I hated the Gen 3 frames, I really like the feel of the Dagger. I haven’t been able to fire it yet since I no longer have a range on my property which sucks. Hopefully this spring comes fast.
