Just a little update.  I have put a couple hundred rounds through it, had some failure to feed issues that is fixing itself as its wears in.  The trigger was pretty bad, not because of the hinged type, but because it was well over 8lbs and gritty.  I low budgeted some triggers trying some P80 flat triggers with bar, which improved it a little in reset distance and pull weight, but still was frankly pretty bad.  I used a P80 trigger and titanium nitride bar, and it felt not bad, but could not get it to reset if you rode the trigger.  I used the original bar and the flat faced trigger, was still relatively heavy and gritty, but better and reset all the time.  The P80 flat triggers are about $10 at KM tactical.

This whole time shadow systems Shadow Systems Elite Flat Face Trigger had been out of stock, they came back in stock at midway around Xmas, and I ordered one, it came today, and is definitely an improvement. I did go ahead and polish the ramp for the firing pin safety just to make sure to minimize and gritty take up, tool like a minute with a sharpening stone.

This one has a shorter very tactile and audible reset, much crisper pull, and no grit on take up.  Still about 5lbs on the weight, (I suspect a little of it is the stiff trigger shoe safety spring) but the trigger is good enough it doesn't feel that heavy.  $21 at midway and in stock still.

I also used a $10 Ghost Inc 3.5 Trigger Connector (also from KM tactical), but I don't know its really necessary, the difference in connectors on mine was minimal I thought.

The caveat to this is, the experience with some on their Daggers varies, some really like the P80 triggers and go no further, some have had issues with both the P80 the shadow systems trigger and not resetting. Some use the shoe on the Dagger factory trigger bar etc. probably going to have to be some experimenting to what works for each one.

Experience is the hardest kind of teacher, it gives the test 1st and the lesson after.

Courage is knowing it may hurt and doing it anyway.
Stupidity is the same.
This is why life is so hard.

After I don't know how many years of using a fish scale to judge trigger pull, I lost it somewhere, probably put it somewhere "safe" (where a future archeologist will probably run across with all the other "safe" stored stuff and wonder at all the treasures found in the tomb, except the body).  I bought a Lyman trigger pull gauge, I was surprised that many of my triggers were lighter than I had guessed. The trigger in the Dagger is around the 3.5lb with this trigger and connector, I guess that's why they called it the 3.5lb connector.  :hs:
