What year is it?

I picked up what I think is an early russian,  the registry shows it could be a 51 or 54. How can I tell for sure which it is?

Post a pic of the gas block. Also, is the firing pin the early spring loaded type or the later free floating style?

If a 90 or 45 degree sloped gas block and a spring loaded firing pin then it would most likely be a 1950 or 1951 CKC. Otherwise, if a waterslide style gas block and free float firing pin, then a later model CKC.

Data I look at shows it should be an early Russian CKC.

Some more pics, I checked Yoopers site everything points to a 51. It's a real shame that Bubba got ahold of this,
Except for the stock and the receiver cover, all the numbers match. It had a scope mount on it and I replacer it with a unmarked cover. I would like to return this to its former glory.

I'd say mid to late 1950 up to mid 1951. I assume it has the 45 degree gas block?
