Krebs and VEPR
« on: April 12, 2008, 01:44:47 PM »
I just got the Krebs yesterday.  It should hold me over until the SKSs arrive.

Plus a bad picture of the Mauser.

Thanks!  I've got a Kobra Red Dot sitting in the garage, ready to mount on the Krebs.  I hope to get it mounted tomorrow and take it to the range next week.  The Krebs and my Bubba are going to be used for quite a bit of range time (subject to ammo budget restrictions).  I think the VEPR and the nice SKS will be kept for show/looks.

I don't yet have the nice SKS, so I am looking forward to comparing the quality and finish of the wood on the Excellent Condition SKS to the VEPR.  Probably not a fair comparison, but hopefully the SKS will be close to the VEPR.  I really like the fit, finish and feel of the wood on the VEPR.

I will.  I bought it about three weeks ago and stuck it in a drawer, waiting for the Krebs to come in.  So, now that I've got something to mount it to, I'll study it a bit tomorrow.
