looting

We all saw the looting after Katrina.  Here is something you did not see on TV.  Here in East Texas as Rita was approaching the coast of Texas.  The worst part of the storm was not supposed to hit till 3am.  Some looters came up from a town about 55 miles south of here and broke into several stores.  The police were out patrolling late into the night till the weather got too bad.  They just happened to see the looters and arrested them, this was around 10 pm after the rain had started falling and wind had picked up.  The police found crow bars, drills, hammers - everything that was needed to break into a building.  While most of the population either evacuated or were in a shelter these scum took that opportunity to break into some business's.  What you heard on TV about people coming from out side new orleans to loot, that is what happened here.  Most of the home town people were law abiding, it was the outsiders causing the problems.
