Yes. I think a standard lower handguard will fit (may have to dremmel a lil bit) and you'll have to order an AK upper handguard and tube and then shorten the tube to fit it. The AMD-65 has a shortened gas tube compared to the AK. I believe this is all correct. Google to make sure.

Same experience as most, its been a very reliable rifle. Also the muzzleblast is quite fun, provided you are straight behind it.  :)

Actually it is a Saiga handguard from Carolina Shooters Supply and it fit without any modification. I like the longer handguard but the plastic ones would start to get loose as things heated up. This one is aluminum and keeps the weight pretty light. Also the bracket that keeps it attached at the front is pretty robust and keeps everything tight.
