It would be very hard to trust any kind of stranger, you don't know them, where they came from, how many "friends" are waiting for them to report back etc. It would be hard to turn down someone who had worth, a person with something to add to the group, I would have to keep a close watch on such a person, bad judgement can ruin everything you prepped so hard to accomplish. I simply find it hard to trust people, at least with "friends" and close family (distant relatives....forget it) you know who to trust and who is a freeloading troublemaker.

Have you guys seen the american black out special Discovery did?
Grid goes down from a cyber attack.
 In one portion a prepper type bugs out with his family and his daughters BF (his family was out of town or something), and the dude ends up telling a hungry neighbor that they have food. which almost ends up in the dads death. That really stresses the point of opsec
