Thanks for the videos as me shooting the combat long range. It was fun but it was really challenging, and I like it!

Spent the day getting the Timbersmith stock mated to my SKS.
Pulled the hand guard off a spare gas tube.
A little fitting at the ferrules, shimmed the cross bolt up about 0.030", a little bedding to tighten up the rear, and relieved the stock for the Techsight.  Fits really snug and solid now. 
This is really a nice stock. I love it.

I did it last time (no Captain Phillips) but was so tired I barely made it to the last station. 
I think the one that gives the most problem is shooting from under a barricade.  It was fun just watching this time. 
Ranger sure packs in a lot into such a short time. 
Those that haven't made one of these shoots, please try for March.  It's not all about competition and winning a Timbersmith stock 

Get the wife involved in shooting.  This is a great opportunity to play, practice, and learn.

The Benchmark is how well the shooter improves from one shoot to the next. 
There are some that are shooting the SKS for the first time. 
6 months later they are better, a year later even better yet. 

Take the 'Long Range' (just a measly 450 yds) for example. 
The wife and I never get to shoot that far, except at the shoots. 
This was only our third time and the wife even beat Roger

It seems from the data that the 5.56 is more accurate than a .308 

It was her muzzle brake, it kept blowing me off target, yea yea, that's the ticket. It was that muzzle brake.

That SKS looks great Glen. I really need to find me a donor SKS for my stock.

The shoot was great and really had a good time. Good seeing everyone again and a special thanks to all that do the heavy lifting. Looking forward to March and staying at the range. Gary also enjoyed it very much.

Made a quick range trip today.  Just 2 SKS's.
Even let the wife shoot mine in the new Timbersmith stock (stated for the record)
Everyone at the range though she was hot (the stock ).
Also took the range cam but not the big 800mm lens.  Just 300mm.
The screen shows four 6 inch targets at 100 yards. 

I might have to relieve the stock a little for the Tapco mags, just a little tight, and the gas tube length is tight in this action.  My POI changed about 4 inches down. 
But it is a sweet stock.
