OK, that worked, but are other members able to click on my photo and see all of the other photos I have stored in my documents?

You uploaded a pic as an ATTACHMENT.  That picture is now hosted on this forum.  You can delete it on your picture, put it in a folder with other pictures, modify it on your computer, but only the Attachment can be seen on this forum..
Using a remote host, like Photobucket, and someone can use the URL of the picture to see other stored as 'public'.

The attachment protocol used here doesn't NOT access to your computer.

 Every time I want to use this site to upload a picture it either says it's too big or the wrong file type. Anyone know how to downsize a pic or change file type with an iPad? The third party sites have been far too frustrating and time consuming to even mess with.

A photoeditor would do it but I’ve found imgur to work great.  You select an image size and it auto generates the imbedded link, then it’s just copy paste into your post.

It's very easy to use. You can resize by clicking on the foto once you've got to ibb.

Can someone post how to reduce the image size.  The standard bbcode doesn't seem to work.

USING IMGBB.COM TO POST PICS (RESIZING)

If your using your phone, (I’ve not used this site on my desktop so I’m unsure of how it works) go to:
https://imgbb.com/

Click start uploading
Click photo library
Select photo or photos and add
Click image and resize (I chose 600 in the first box, the other box will auto fill),
Click submit
Do not auto delete, click upload
Click viewer links
Select BBCode full linked
Copy
Paste into the body of your post.
