Spare Cord
« on: July 22, 2017, 06:12:57 PM »
I have a StrikeHardGear Sks buttstock ammo pouch, and....I love it!  It gives me a handy 30rds, which is all the extra ammo I'd ever need during hunting season.  I do wonder how well the elasticized cord used to lace it onto the rifle will hold up long-term in Western Oregon with LOTS of rain and blackberry bushes.  I don't see if "failing" suddenly, but if it were to start fraying I'd like to have a spare back at the house.  Is this available?

Is it elastic?  From what I've seen a lot of this gear these days seems to use standard paracord, which you can buy at Walmart.  I'm not sure about that specific pad though.  Maybe if you posted a picture of it.
I am the one they call Cesar.

It is elastic cord.  Para-cord would not have the "tensioning" necessary to keep the pouch in place on the buttstock.  If the StrikeHardGear guys are ever on here......
